Bass Island Line Schedule Change – Devonport to Bell Bay

Bass Island Line’s schedule is changing in January 2020, with the mainland Tasmania port of call moving from Devonport, to Bell Bay.

BIL announced this port change last month so as to ensure the continuity of service for the King Island community.

As the mainland Tasmania port is changing, so are receiving and delivering (R&D) arrangements for cargo and cars. Please find important information below.

Light vehicles R & D is available between 7.00am and 3.00pm Monday to Friday.

Please contact Qube on 0408 059 253 at least 24 hours prior to drop off or pick up to confirm timing. Contact Qube again upon arrival at Bell Bay and you will be met at the gate. 

You will require your consignment note and photo ID for pick up.

A layby area is available outside the gate where you will be met. Please remain clear of port traffic.

General cargo R & D is available between 7.00am – 3.00pm Monday to Friday.

Contact Qube on 0408 059 253 at least two hours before dropping off or picking up cargo to confirm time, then again upon arrival at the port gates.

You must have a valid MSIC and TasPorts entry permit for port access. Once access is granted, proceed to Bell Bay Berth 2 to meet Qube Stevedores.
