Severe weather

Due to severe weather warnings, current and forecasted, for the North West of Tasmania John Duigan will lay up in Geelong until Monday afternoon.

John Duigan is now scheduled to arrive into Grassy on the morning of Tuesday 10 July and depart Grassy that afternoon, returning to Geelong.

John Duigan schedule change

Bass Island Line (BIL) has confirmed a new schedule for John Duigan.

The new schedule is a result of consultation with our key customers and a review of current scheduling. The new schedule is still a weekly service.

John Duigan’s new schedule will come into effect in the middle of next week departing from Geelong on Wednesday, Grassy on Sunday, Devonport on Monday and Grassy on Tuesday.

Grassy automated weighbridge

Users of TasPorts’ automated King Island weighbridge are now required to use the automated system only.

TasPorts account holders will need to have contacted the Tasmanian Scale Company in Burnie to complete the setup on 6431 3986 if they have not already done so.

All weighbridge use will be invoiced on a monthly basis. The system sends daily emails reporting on the previous day’s usage.
