Update 42

A day at the races

Bass Island Line (BIL) and TasPorts were proud to be involved with the annual Maritime Day Races that took place last Saturday afternoon.

TasPorts General Manager Customer Management, Kevin Moore and BIL Business Manager, Tom McBroom attended the popular racing event.

Kevin and Tom presented award rugs to the winners of our sponsored events – TasPorts Corporation Pace and the Bass Island Line Gallop (as pictured below).

“It was a great pleasure to sponsor and be part of an event that is so highly regarded in the community,” said Tom.

“The races were very exciting this year, thanks to the involvement of so many talented jockeys and trainers.

“BIL and TasPorts would like to congratulate all winners of this year’s events,” he said.

Winners are grinners

Whilst on the island, Kevin and Tom were also invited to attend a function to celebrate the recent success of the King Island Boat Club (KIBC) at the Stonehaven Cup.

It was smiles all around at the Grassy club, as the team celebrated their most successful regatta to date.
