Bass Island Line continues to provide a reliable and regular freight service for King Island.
There were no weather delays this week as we reached our 74th voyage. Forecasts point to some unfavourable weather conditions early next week. As a consequence, Bass Island Line has brought forward the next two sailings by 24 hours. This is in line with our commitment to meet customer demand in a timely way.
Bass Island Line is ensuring that all booked cargo is delivered to King Island promptly.
This week we saw a general cargo sailing and a livestock sailing. To date, 590 containers have been moved onto King Island in general cargo crossings since Bass Island Line started operating.
Bass Island Line has undertaken 14 livestock sailings out of Grassy to mainland Tasmania successfully moving around 4700 head of cattle.
